Data Science and Big Data Analytics deals with the collection and analysis of large amounts of data for understanding user behaviour to draw viable, actionable conclusions, make plans, implement policies and make better, data- driven decisions. The two-year M.Sc. Data Science and Big Data Analytics at MIT-WPU is an interdisciplinary programme that combines knowledge from statistics, mathematics and software programming.The programme trains our students to collect, store, organize and analyse data and implement analytics processes to attain their respective project goals. The programme trains our students in Data Warehousing, Machine Learning, Big Data Architecture, Python, Cloud computing through mini- projects and hands- on assignments.Our students are introduced to data visualisation tools like Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau, No-SQL Databases and also includes multiple professional electives like Business Analytics, Data Analytics Pipeline and Big Data Security. Students completing the programme can take up positions as Data Scientists, Big Data Analysts, Big Data Engineers, Big Data Solution Architects, Metric and analytics specialists, Power BI /Tableau developers, Python Developers, Machine Learning Engineers, Machine Learning Architects and more.
