The Department of Pharmaceutical Science at MIT-WPU offers a wide range of specialised Masters programmes in Pharmacy for students who have completed their B. Pharmacy degree. These programmes provide students with training in specific areas of pharmacy and focus on hands-on, practical learning through a variety of projects and internships. In order to prepare students for careers in research, the programmes include modules on research methodology and tools and techniques in the pharmaceutical field, and encourage students to present their research at national and international conferences. The M.Pharm Pharmacology programme at MIT-WPU provides a comprehensive study of pharmaceutical analytical techniques, advanced pharmacology, pharmacological and toxicological screening methods, cellular and molecular pharmacology, experimental pharmacology, clinical research and pharmacovigilance, drug discovery, research methodology, and biostatistics. Upon completing this programme, students will be well-prepared for a variety of career opportunities in the field of pharmacology, including positions in clinical research organisations, biomedical companies, IT companies specialising in pharmacovigilance,the pharmaceutical industry, private and government R&D laboratories, contract research organisations, and companies involved in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical and biological products.
