Cyber security is crucial in protecting computers, servers, electronic systems, networks, mobiles and data from malicious attacks, including preventing cybercriminals from accessing devices through networks. To address the growing demand for cyber security professionals, Uttaranchal University offers a three-year undergraduate program, BCA – Cyber Security.

The program focuses on skills development in cyber security, ethical hacking and related concepts. It covers courses such as Fundamentals of Cyber Security, Risk Management, Law of Cyber Security, Security Professional Ethics, Principles of Information System Security, Paradigm of Ethical Hacking, Information System Security Planning and Audits, and Python programming. The curriculum includes project development in each language/technology learned during the semester, providing practical exposure and experiential learning. Guest lectures and workshops are conducted to keep students up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared for job roles such as Information Security Analyst, Risk Analyst, Cyber Security Analyst, Trainer, Support Engineer, and Network Security Engineer. Additionally, students are eligible for higher education in the related or specialized field of computer application.
