B.Tech. - Computer Engineering PDEU

Duration: 4 Years

Discipline: Engineering & Technology

Previous level of Study: Grade 12th or 'A' Level or Equivalent

Requirements: Grade 12th & Advance Level

Course Description

B.Tech Computer Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate degree program focused on computer science and engineering concepts. The course curriculum includes programming languages, computer networks, algorithms, data structures, software engineering, database management systems, computer architecture, and operating systems. Graduates are prepared for careers in software development, computer hardware engineering, network administration, and database management.

The program aims to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science and engineering principles. It also aims to give students hands-on experience in developing software applications and systems using various programming languages. Graduates can work in industries such as IT services, software development, telecommunications, finance, healthcare, and government agencies.

The program outcomes for B.Tech Computer Engineering include applying knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to solve complex engineering problems. Graduates will be able to identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences. They will also be able to design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations. Graduates can conduct investigations of complex problems using research-based knowledge and research methods.

Additionally, graduates of B.Tech Computer Engineering will have the skills to create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations. They will be able to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice. Graduates will also understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development.

They will apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice. Graduates will function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings. They will communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and society at large. Graduates will also demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles and apply these to their work as a member and leader in a team to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments. Finally, they will recognize the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological change.
